Rachel Prins is a contemporary artist and painter, living and working in Vernon, BC. Her practice focuses on the natural world, and explores perception, intuited feeling, and memory of being within a space. Connection to the landscape that surrounds us - seemingly knowable, but constantly enigmatic - is a constant subject in her practice. Structured by her continuous practice of sketching the landscape around her, her work follows the seasonal shifts occurring in her local area, honouring the landscape’s ephemerality and ceaselessness.
